Home Turf Series

December 22nd, 2011

Congratulations to the NHE riders and horses for great results at our first home show!

Penny, Malia, and Nora pose for pictures.

Malia enjoyed her very first horse show, riding Penny in the walk trot division.  The two brought home tri-colors!  Lauren and Brydon stepped into the show ring for the first time as a team, and placed second in every class.  They also earned their first qualifying points towards the MHJ mini-medal finals.  Molly had a great “catch ride” on Penny, winning her children’s MHJ qualifier.

Whisper Low, under Nora, was Reserve Champion in the Rhode Island Hunter division, winning the hack.  Lolo and Nora also WON the low hunter open card for the whole day!  Way to go!

April Showers

We are thrilled to welcome April Showers (aka Penny) to our barn. Penny is a lovely show pony fresh off the Connecticut circuit. She is as sweet at she is pretty!

Penny won all three classes in the special hunters at Glenn Farm, her first show out under her new ownership.  She’s now available for lessons and on farm lease.

Autumn Successes

November 20th, 2010

Nora and her young horse, Whisper Low, won the first place ribbon in their Combined Test at the Beland Stables November show.  With a dressage score of 71% and no faults over fences, it’s no surprise Nora was Reserve High Point Rider of the day. Needless to say, we were very proud of Lolo!

Lolo was also the star at the Fieldstone Summer Series Horse Show, winning all three of his pleasure classes.

Nora and her client horse, Top Notch, wrapped up the summer as Champions of the Rhode Island Working Hunter.
